i remember when i was a child we had electric lines from a pole (smelling so nice off carboleum) to our house. Ideal resting place for singing birds. Sadly they are nearly completly dissapeared. Only big ugly gray iron structures, holding massive electric cables, standing here polluting the eye. Birds are flying themselfs to death against the wires. As a kid i was always afraid when passing them they would fall down, so i hide my head in my hands. (Btw the cables broke twice in a massive storm). On that place i shot the pic.

When it rains you hear electric buzzes and see faint purple electric discharges..

a wonderful and beautiful shot hon!

ohh but scarry lines indeed! we have those here but i see birds on them but they dont 'fly themselves to death' lol. maybe the weather there adds up to the corrosion of the wire wraps.. hmm...

eh not suicide birds lol

but imagine a beautiful seagull gliding gracious through the bright clear sky and WAMM
the cables are high and easily missed..

next time i hope to make a shot of the structures. As a kid i climbed in them, a very small ladder endlessly high and because of the iron you hands got cold when you where halfway, nearly lose grip blowing them warm hanging at the stair with one arm.. but when you where at last! above you had a magnificant view especially in clear weather. Then waiting till it get dark the soft buzzz of the wires (brr later i knew that if you come close to them you could get an electric shock) watching the sun set.. eh but maby i should write that by that post.

(eh except for the climbing of high places) maybe you could cure me of that fear! 8)
