for Miss Moogie *Akin Bituin

Thou gazest on the stars, my star!
Ah! would that I might be
Myself those skies with myriad eyes,
That I might gaze on thee.
                                                (Plato)
Trans. Lilla Cabot Perry

Staar je, mijn Ster, naar de sterren
omhoog? Was ik maar de hemel
om zo, een en al oog,
       blikken te werpen op jou.

Trans. Paul Claes

door sterrelicht zal ik u kussen en zal uw één beloven te zijn en slechts zal ik u gevoel gelukkig maken en zal u om in mijn ogen ertoe brengen worden verloren

trans. by babelfish

by starlight I'll kiss you
and promise to be your one and only
I'll make you feel happy and lead you to be lost in my eyes

"It is just for this that I have got myself up so beautifully-that beautiful I may go to a beauty."
(Socrates)

The word beautiful (kalos), which is distinct from good (agathos), also means fair, fine, and noble; and everything outstanding in body, mind, or action can be so designated. What is lovable either to the sight or mind, is beautiful. It is the Greek term for what is moral, with the qualification that it designates what is beyond the sphere of obligation and duty, what one cannot expect everyone to do. It has a higher rank than the just. And with or without context, you're all that is beautiful in my world.

Lovely Miss Moogie

tried to make a bit poetical translation of your verse..

"In ster'licht kus ik jou
en beloof geheel de jouwe te zijn
Ik maak je gelukkig en door mijn ogen verleid verloren".
