"Too much youtube kills the brain..."
"..but its too much fun to resist. Therefore today The Cure. By accident i found this old concert of The Cure on You Tube. Amazingly i recognized a small part "The Final Sound" which is on the video "Staring at the Sea" as the intro for the "Play for Today" video. I always hoped to see that concert whole one day. Nice to know it was recorded and broadcasted in The Netherlands 18 July 1980. I was only 9! then.. This concert is just after Seventeen Seconds was released.
My first memories about The Cure are from 1984 when i saw Robert Smith wearing loads of make-up in "The Caterpillar" video and how strange we found that back then. Soon some had the same haircut.
My BEST memories are those with my Honey when we saw them in Rotterdam i cherish that moment for ever!
Part 1
In Your House - M
Part 2
Jumping Someone Elses Train -Another Journey by Train
Part 3
A Forest
Part 4
(That amazing Intro! brings sooo many memories!!)
The Final Sound - The Play For Today
it goes deep..

Lol yes and im sure there must be a complete concert on tape from this!
I always find it strange that bands don't rease those kinda things. Bit like what Pearl Jam did they released all concert in one year on cd. So why not bring those concerts on dvd. Just plain so wont cost them much and fans will buy it im sure.
I found a short clip of the previous concert iwas too i post that soon.
